THE CHANGE OF DIGITALISATION: ABOUT ACCEPTANCE, INTELLIGENCE AND THE RE-ORGANISATION OF PRODUCTION

How is digitalisation transforming the production organisation of SMEs? This was the question that launched the KILPaD research project in cooperation with the Zukunftsallianz Maschinenbau in 2019.

The findings of the project were ordered and generalised with regard to a systematics of the interfaces between man and machine, machine and operation, operation and organisation, organisation and economy. For this purpose, a survey of the central interfaces of innovation and improvement in the production organisation was carried out at the four SMEs participating in the project.

Digitisation circles set up specifically for this purpose and the exchange among the SMEs made it possible to analyse and compare the insights gained and to translate them into the further development of the organisation on site already during the course of the project.

With the help of the project, SMEs can further develop their production organisations in a reflective and future-proof manner. The findings of KILPaD will be processed in a digitalisation circle concept, a guideline for learning-friendly interface design, a management tool for embedding digital media in learning and work processes as well as guidelines for setting up the production organisation in times of digitalisation.

The project reports on the goals achieved and the lessons learned in three events.
