Manufacturing companies can only benefit from all the advantages offered by Industry 4.0, cloud technologies and further automation if these technologies work together in a networked manner across all disciplines. A Manufacturing Execution System (MES) as a digital image of the ongoing production processes is thus increasingly coming to the fore. However, this also means that its requirements are growing. The future of digital production no longer consists of isolated solutions, separate data streams and dedicated work areas, but of an intelligent, integrated flow of all data, resources and processes. Experts refer to this reorientation and functional expansion as MOM (Manufacturing Operations Management). What role will MES/MOM play in the factory of the future? We will find out in this workshop.
